WIN FOUR TICKETS
TO PRIVATE LIVES

In October, to celebrate our first e-newsletter, we’re giving you the chance to win four tickets to Noël Coward’s hilarious comedy Private Lives, a Queensland Theatre Company production on show at QPAC until November 4.

Private Lives is about a couple that can’t live with or without each other and will lift the roof off the theatre, revealing a little more than 1930s glitz and glamour. Three exciting new stores have recently opened in Brisbane Arcade – Depazzi Jewellery, Gift Habitat and Pia du Pradal.

Depazzi
Australian jewellery designer, Depazzi, has opened at the Adelaide Street end of Brisbane Arcade. Visit the store to experience an exuberant collection of jewellery and accessories made from Australia’s very own opal, diamonds, pearls as well as Depazzi’s trademark crocodile and wild leathers.

Pia du Pradal
The locally produced Pia du Pradal label has an established reputation for high quality garments in exquisite European fabrics. FUNDRAISING FASHION

On 14th September, the fourth annual Mater Hospital - Brisbane Arcade fashion fundraiser was held at the Carlton Crest Hotel.

Hosted by Channel Nine’s Melissa Downes and compered by Pam Tamblyn, over 280 guests enjoyed a glorious morning of fine food and the latest spring-summer fashion from Brisbane Arcade designers, jewellers and accessory stores.

The event was a great success, raising over $4,000 to enable the Mater to continue providing specialist treatment to all the tiny babies who need their very special care.

BRISBANE ARCADE SUPPORTS MoB’S
MISS AUSTRALIA EXHIBITION

Museum of Brisbane (MoB), on the ground floor of City Hall, is set to premiere a new National Museum of Australia exhibition, Miss Australia: A Nation’s Quest.

Showing at MoB from 6 October 2006 until 4 February 2007, the exhibition traces the history of the competition, from its beginnings as a magazine promotion in 1908, to its ascendancy as a national cultural event and its end in 2000.
